About Us
Community Empowerment Frontiers
Community Empowerment Frontiers (CEFO) is a non-governmental organization working in Uganda and South Sudan to address the challenges faced by youth, particularly those from rural, vulnerable, and marginalized communities. With a clear focus on improving the socio-economic status of youth and rural communities, CEFO aims to foster empowerment, economic self-reliance, and resilience among these groups.
CEFO’s work is designed to build resilience, restore livelihoods, and create opportunities for sustainable development through programs that emphasize education, economic empowerment, health and wellbeing, gender equality, leadership, and peace-building. With a vision to empower youth and rural communities by tapping into their full potential, CEFO seeks to transform these communities through strategic interventions that provide opportunities for skills development, civic engagement, and socio-economic independence.

Youth Empowerment and Leadership
Empowering youth with leadership skills and providing platforms for decision-making and active participation in community and national development as well as Encouraging active citizenship
Health and Wellbeing
Improving the health and wellbeing of youth and rural communities through awareness, preventive care, and access to healthcare services, with a focus on reproductive health, rights, and substance abuse prevention
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Improving access to safe water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices in rural and marginalized communities, reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases and improving overall health and well-being.
